Ahmad Syiimir Suffian began his journey in the legal practice in 2011 when he joined Messrs. Zain& Co. and completed his pupillage under the supervision of Zain Azrin Zain Azahari. After his admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court ofMalaya, he joined Messrs. Azmi & Associates as Associate in the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group and was later promoted as Senior Associate.
He has conducted numerous trials at the High Court particularly for corporate and commercial disputes and appeared at the Court ofAppeal and the Federal Court. He has also been extensively involved in various matters in arbitration proceedings involving contractual disputes, public interest disputes and the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012.
Among his notable assignments were acting as a junior counsel for a private company in a multi-million suit at the Federal Court, conducting an arbitration proceeding in a multi-million dispute for another private company and acting for a co-operative in a dispute against a public listed company involving a claim of over RM300 million.
Syiimir presently leads the civil litigation and arbitration sector of ASIS.
