Mohd Shahrysham Kamran started his career in 2011 as a Federal Counsel at the International Affairs Division of the Attorney General’s Chambers where he was heavily involved in various areas of international law. In his line of work, he regularly represented the Government of Malaysia in bilateral and multilateral negotiations with foreign counterparts on numerous matters including cross-border projects, cooperation and trade agreements, human rights instruments, maritime issues and international boundary. In 2018, he became a Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism.

During his stint in the public service, Shahrysham received multiple recognitions such as Exemplary Employee Award in 2012, Certificate of Appreciation in 2013 and Excellent Service Award in 2014 and 2015. He was also substantially involved in a few high profile assignments. Among others, in 2016, he was part of the legal team for Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail project and he represented Malaysia in the Legal Committee of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA. Most notably, in 2017, he was placed in London, United Kingdom as part of the international legal team for a territorial dispute before the International Court of Justice.

In 2019, Shahrysham pursued his career in the legal practice and currently leads the corporate and commercial sector of ASIS. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2014.
